1 Muhona, Ndjambi omunene
nOmunamasaaehe, ma hungire;
eye ma ravaere kouye auhe,
okuza komapitiro weyuva nga komahitiro waro.
2 Ndjambi u rimunikisa mongeṋangeṋeno kOsion,
ihi otjihuro otjiwa otjimanise.
3 Ndjambi wetu meya, nu ke nokumwina;
komurungu we maku kayenda omuriro omusesete,
komikuma vye avihe maku
hingi otjivepo otjinamasa.
4 Eye ma isana eyuru nehi
vi rire ovihongonone,
eye tji ma pangura otjiwaṋa tje.
5 Eye ma tja nai: “Ndji woronganisireye imba
mba ṱakama mu ami,
imba mba tjita omerikutiropamwe na ami
mokupunguha ombunguhiro.”
6 Omayuru maye hongonona kutja
Ndjambi omusemba,
nokutja eye omuini onguri omupangure.
7 “Puratena, tjiwaṋa tjandje,
nambano ami me hungire!
Israel, ami me ku hongonona.
Owami Ndjambi, Ndjambi woye!
8 Hi nokukuverera ozombunguhiro zoye
poo ozombunguhiro ozoningiririsiwa
nḓoo yeta komurungu wandje aruhe.
9 Nungwari ami hi nokukambura
ko ozondwezu zozongombe
motjunda tjoye, nozongombo morupanda rwoye.
10 Orondu ovipuka avihe vyokuti ovyo ovyandje,
novinamuinyo mbi ri kozondundu omayovi.
11 Mbi tjiwa ozonḓera azehe zokuti,
noupuka auhe mbu nyangatara pehi owo owandje.
12 “Andakuzu mbi nondjara, hitje ku raera;
orondu ouye noviṋa avihe mbi ri mu wo ovyandje.
13 Mbi rya onyama yozondwezu zozongombe,
poo mbi nwa ombinḓu yozongombo are?
14 Ondangero yoye nga rire
ndja rire ombunguhiro ku Ndjambi,
nu yenenisa omakwizikiro woye
ku ingwi wOkombandambanda.
15 Kwa ku ami meyuva rombamisiro,
ami me ku yama,
nove mo ndji yozike.”
16 Nungwari Ndjambi ma tja nai komunauvi:
“Mo tamunine tjike omatwako wandje?
Nu mo hungirire tjike omerikutiropamwe wandje?
17 Ove wa tonda omavyuriro wandje,
nu u nakaura omarakiza wandje.
18 Tji wa munu erunga, u kayenda puna ro;
nu u wana novakatuke wotukupo.
19 “Ove aruhe u hungira omambo wourunde;
nu ko ivaiva okukora ovizeze.
20 Aruhe u yamba omukweṋu,
nu u kuminina omuatje wanyoko.
21 Hi mwine, tji mo tjiti oviṋa otja imbi are?
Otji mo tjangovasi ami mbi ri otja ove.
Ami nambano me ku vere,
nu me ku raisire oviṋa mbi,
u mune nomeho woye.
22 “Tjiweye, eṋe mbu mu zemba Ndjambi!
Tjapo, ami ngee mu nyondorora,
nape ha ningi omundu ngu me mu vatere.
23 Ngu ma punguha ondangero,
ongu me ndji yozike;
nu ami, tjiri, me yama avehe mbu
mave kara nonḓuviro ku ami.”

What Pleases God
1 From east to west,
the powerful Lord God
has been calling together
everyone on earth.
2 God shines brightly from Zion,
the most beautiful city.
3 Our God approaches,
but not silently;
a flaming fire comes first,
and a storm surrounds him.
4 God comes to judge his people.
He shouts to the heavens
and to the earth,
5 “Call my followers together!
They offered me a sacrifice,
and we made an agreement.”
6 The heavens announce,
“God is the judge,
and he is always honest.”
7 My people, I am God!
Israel, I am your God.
Listen to my charges
against you.
8 Although you offer sacrifices
and always bring gifts,
9 I won't accept your offerings
of bulls and goats.
10 Every animal in the forest
belongs to me,
and so do the cattle
on a thousand hills.
11 I know all the birds
in the mountains,
and every wild creature
is in my care.
12 If I were hungry,
I wouldn't tell you,
because I own the world
and everything in it.
13 I don't eat the meat of bulls
or drink the blood of goats.
14 I am God Most High!
The only sacrifice I want
is for you to be thankful
and to keep your word.
15 Pray to me in time of trouble.
I will rescue you,
and you will honor me.
16 But to the wicked I say:
“You don't have the right
to mention my laws or claim
to keep our agreement!
17 You refused correction
and rejected my commands.
18 You made friends
with every crook you met,
and you liked people who break
their wedding vows.
19 You talked only about violence
and told nothing but lies;
20 you sat around gossiping,
ruining the reputation
of your own relatives.”
21 When you did all this,
I didn't say a word,
and you thought,
“God is just like us!”
But now I will accuse you.
22 You have ignored me!
So pay close attention
or I will tear you apart,
and no one can help you.
23 The sacrifice that honors me
is a thankful heart.
Obey me, and I, your God,
will show my power to save.
