(Lev 25:1-7)1 “Aruhe kombunda yozombura hambombari, isira ovandu mbe nozondjo zoye. 2 Omuano mbwi nga rire mbu wa tjiti: Auhe ngwa yazemisa otjiṋa kOmuisrael omukwao, nge mu isire; eye ke nakuṋiṋikiza ko ingwi Omuisrael omukwao, tjinga Muhona omuini a zikamisa kutja ondjo yoviyazemwa ngai zemisiwe. 3 Owozonganda mo yenene okumuṋiṋikiza, nungwari ingwi Omuisrael omukweṋu tje nondjo kove, mu isira.
4 “Nungwari kape nokukara omusyona pove, Muhona, Ndjambi woye, tjinga ame ku sere ondaya tjinene, mehi eye ndi me ku pe otja otjirumatwa, ri rire ouini woye, 5 tji mo puratene nawa keraka re, na tji mo ṱakamisa inga omatwako aehe ngu me ku rakiza ndinondi, 6 Muhona, Ndjambi woye, me ku sere ondaya, otja pe ku kwizikira. Ove mo yazemisa oviṋa vyoye koviwaṋa ovingi, nungwari ove omuini ko nakuhepa okuyazema; mo honapara kombanda yoviwaṋa ovingi, nungwari ovyo kavi nakuhonapara kombanda yoye.
7 “Tji pe nOmuisrael omukweṋu ngu nouhepe, motjihuro tjoye tjimwe, mehi Muhona, Ndjambi woye, ndi me ku pe, o kukutisa omutima woye, nu o panḓa okumuvatera. 8 Nungwari roporora eke roye ku ye, nu kara nombango okumuyazema otja pu pa yenene kouhepe we. 9 O panḓa okumuyazema otjiṋa, mena rokutja indji Ombura yOmaisiro wondjo i ri popezu. O kara nomeripura omavi momutima woye. Ove tji mo panḓa okumuyazema, eye me ku kwire ku Muhona, nove mo rire omunandjo. 10 Mu pa nombango aihe nokuhinekurungo; orondu mena raihi Muhona, Ndjambi woye, me ku sere ondaya moviungura vyoye avihe. 11 Aruhe mape kara ovasyona novahepe mehi roye; opu me ku rakizire nai: Rira ondjandje kOmuisrael omukweṋu omuhepe nomusyona mehi roye.

(Eks 21:1-11)12 “Omuheberi omukweṋu, omurumendu poo omukazendu, tje rirandisa kove, nge ku ungurire oure wozombura hamboumwe; nungwari mombura indji oitjahambombari mu kutura, a yende. 13 Nungwari tji we mu kutura, o mu esa a yende nokuhinatjiṋa. 14 Mu rongerisa nonguta ndja yenene, yozonyanda zoye, noyovikokotwa vyoye nomavinu woye; mu pa mu imbi Muhona, Ndjambi woye, me ku sere ondaya. 15 Zemburuka kutja ove wa ri omukarere mOengipte, nokutja Muhona, Ndjambi woye, we ku kutura; opu me zu okukurakiza otjiṋa hi ndinondi.
16 “Nungwari omukarere tja tja nai kove: ‘Ami hi nokuvanga okuyenda,’ eye tjinga e ku suvera puna onganda yoye, na kara nawa puna ove, 17 mu twara pomuvero wondjuwo yoye, na rire pu we kemutoporera okutwi nondungo; komuhingo mbwi ma karerere omukarere woye; nu komukarere woye omukazendu nga rire tji wa tjiti nao wina. 18 O kara nomuhihamwatima, tji mo kutura omukarere woye, eye tjinga e ku ungurira oure wozombura hamboumwe kondjambi ohinga pu indji ndji sokusutwa komuungurire wondjambi; nu Muhona, Ndjambi woye, me ku sere ondaya mu avihe, mbi mo tjiti.
Oviveri vyovinamuinyo
19 “Otjiveri atjihe otjirume tjotjinamuinyo tji matji kwatwa mozongombe poo mozonyanda zoye, tji yapurira Muhona, Ndjambi woye. O ungura oviungura vyoye notjiveri tjimwe tjozongombe zoye, nu o henye otjiveri tjimwe tjozonyanda zoye. 20 Mombura aihe, ove neṱunḓu roye mamu vi rire momurungu wa Muhona, Ndjambi woye, poṋa Muhona puma vanga okukumbirwa. 21 Nu ndoovazu otjiveri hi tji notjipo tjorive, kutja otjiṱeṱu poo otjipoṱu poo tji notjipo ngamwa otjivi, o tji eta ku Muhona, Ndjambi woye. 22 Ove tji rira poyoye, nandarire omukohoke nomuhakohoke wina nokuhinambangu tjimuna onyama yonḓuno poo yohorongo. 23 Posi yombinḓu porwayo ondji mu hi nokuyenena okurya; i tirahira pehi tjimuna omeva.
The Seventh Year
(Leviticus 25.1-7)1 “At the end of every seventh year you are to cancel the debts of those who owe you money. 2 This is how it is to be done. Each of you who has lent money to any Israelite is to cancel the debt; you must not try to collect the money; the Lord himself has declared the debt canceled. 3 You may collect what a foreigner owes you, but you must not collect what any of your own people owe you.
4 “The Lord your God will bless you in the land that he is giving you. Not one of your people will be poor 5 if you obey him and carefully observe everything that I command you today. 6 The Lord will bless you, as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations, but you will not have to borrow from any; you will have control over many nations, but no nation will have control over you.
7 “If in any of the towns in the land that the Lord your God is giving you there are Israelites in need, then do not be selfish and refuse to help them. 8 Instead, be generous and lend them as much as they need. 9 Do not refuse to lend them something, just because the year when debts are canceled is near. Do not let such an evil thought enter your mind. If you refuse to make the loan, they will cry out to the Lord against you, and you will be held guilty. 10 Give to them freely and unselfishly, and the Lord will bless you in everything you do. 11 There will always be some Israelites who are poor and in need, and so I command you to be generous to them.
The Treatment of Slaves
(Exodus 21.1-11)12 “If any Israelites, male or female, sell themselves to you as slaves, you are to release them after they have served you for six years. When the seventh year comes, you must let them go free. 13 When you set them free, do not send them away empty-handed. 14 Give to them generously from what the Lord has blessed you with—sheep, grain, and wine. 15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God set you free; that is why I am now giving you this command.
16 “But your slave may not want to leave; he may love you and your family and be content to stay. 17 Then take him to the door of your house and there pierce his ear; he will then be your slave for life. Treat your female slave in the same way. 18 Do not be resentful when you set slaves free; after all, they have served you for six years at half the cost of hired servants. Do this, and the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do.
The First-Born Cattle and Sheep
19 “Set aside for the Lord your God all the first-born males of your cattle and sheep; don't use any of these cattle for work and don't shear any of these sheep. 20 Each year you and your family are to eat them in the Lord's presence at the one place of worship. 21 But if there is anything wrong with the animals, if they are crippled or blind or have any other serious defect, you must not sacrifice them to the Lord your God. 22 You may eat such animals at home. All of you, whether ritually clean or unclean, may eat them, just as you eat deer or antelope. 23 But do not use their blood for food; instead, you must pour it out on the ground like water.
