1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
8 ¶ The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 9 Some said, This is he: others said , He is like him: but he said, I am he . 10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? 11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. 12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
13 ¶ They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. 14 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. 16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. 17 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. 18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. 19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? 20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: 21 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. 22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. 24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. 25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no , I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. 26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? 27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? 28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples. 29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow , we know not from whence he is. 30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. 31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. 32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. 33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. 34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
39 ¶ And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? 41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

3 Jesus wa zirire a tja: “Kaurunde we nu wina kaurunde wovanene ve eye tje ri omupoṱu nao, nungwari eye omupoṱu kokutja oviungura vyomasa wa Ndjambi vi riraise mu ye. 4 Ngunda aku neyuva, eṱe tu sokuungura oviungura vya ingwi ngwe ndji hinda; oviungura vya ingwi ngwe ndji hinda; ouṱuku mau ya, omundu me ha sora okuungura. 5 Nu ngunda ambi ri mouye, owami ondjerera youye.”
6 Jesus tja za nokuhungira omambo nga, arire tja tjekere omate pehi na zezenga omunoko pomate nga. Eye we u hwa komeho womupoṱu 7 na tja: “Twende u kerikohe momurungu motjizeva tja Siloam.” Siloam ri heya kutja “Hinda”. Omupoṱu arire tja i e kerikoha omurungu na kotoka ama munu.
8 Ovararanganda na ye na imba mbe mu munine tjaa ningire ovyotjari, va purire ave tja: “Omundu ngwi kaye ngwi ngwaa kara pehi nokuningira ovyotjari are?”
9 Ovandu tjiva va tjere: “Onguri ye.”
Novakwao ave tja: “Kako, kangu ri ye; wa sana ku ye uriri.”
Eye omuini opa tjera: “Owami ngu mbi ri ye.”
10 Owo arire tji ve mu pura ave tja: “Okutjavi omeho woye nambano tji maye munu?”
11 Eye a ziri a tja: “Omundu ngu ku za oJesus wa zezenga omunoko, e u hu komeho wandje ne ndji raere kutja mbi yende kOsiloam mbi kerikohe momurungu. Ami otji mba ya e kerikoha, narire tji mba munu.”
12 Owo va purire ave tja: “Eye u ri pi?”
Eye a ziri a tja: “Hi nokutjiwa.”
Ovafarisei mave konḓonona omaverukisiro
13 Nowo va twarere omundu ngwi ngwa kwaterwe omupoṱu kOvafarisei. 14 Neyuva ra ri esabata, indi Jesus nda rungire omunoko na paturura omeho womupoṱu. 15 NOvafarisei va purire omundu ngwi rukwao kutja pa yende vi eye nambano tji ma munu. Neye e ve raere a tja: “Eye wa hu omunoko komeho wandje; ami mbe rikoho momurungu, nowami ngwi nambano me munu.”
16 Ovafarisei arire tji va tja: “Omundu ngwa tjiti otjiṋa hi ke nokusokuza ku Ndjambi, eye tjinga e hi nokuṱakamisa esabata.”
Nungwari ovakwao wina va tjere: “Omundu omunauvi ma sora vi okutjita ovihimise mbi ṱa mba?” Notji mwa kara ohaṋi mokati kawo.
17 Ovafarisei va purire rukwao omundu ngwa ri omupoṱu ave tja: “Ove motja eye we ku paturura omeho tji mo munu nai; nambano ove mo mu tja vi?”
Omundu a ziri a tja: “Eye omuprofete.”
18 Nungwari ovanene vOvajuda kaave vanga okukambura kutja eye wa ri omupoṱu nu nambano ma munu, nga tji va kaisana ovanene ve 19 nave ve pura: “Omuatje ngwi oweṋu? Eṋe mamu tja wa kwatwa omupoṱu. Nu nambano ma sora vi okumuna?”
20 Ovanene ve va zirire ave tja: “Matu tjiwa kutja eye omuatje wetu, nu wina matu tjiwa kutja wa kwatwa omupoṱu. 21 Nungwari eṱe katu nokutjiwa kutja eye nambano ma sora vi okumuna, nu wina katu nokutjiwa kutja owaṋi ngwa paturura omeho we kutja a mune. Mu pureye omuini; eye we kura, wa punga ozondunge nu ma yenene okuzira omuini omapuriro!” 22 Ovanene ve va hungira omambo nga tjinga ave tira ovanane vOvajuda. 24 Nowo va isanene porutjavari ingwi omundu ngwa kwaterwe omupoṱu nave tja ku ye: “Yanisa komurungu wa Ndjambi kutja ove mo hungire ouatjiri! Eṱe matu tjiwa kutja omundu ngwi ngwe ku verukisa eye omunauvi.”
25 Omundu ngwi wa zirire a tja: “Kutja eye omunauvi ami hi nokutjiwa. Ihi porwatjo ami tji me tjiwa okongwi okutja ami mba ri omupoṱu, nu nambano me munu.”
26 Owo arire tji ve mu pura ave tja: “Eye we ku tjiti vi? Omeho woye eye we ye paturura vi?”
27 Eye a ziri a tja: “Ami mbe mu raere rukuru, neṋe kamu nokuvanga okupuratena. Okutjavi tji mamu vanga okuzuva rukwao? Eṋe wina mamu vanga okurira ovahongewa ve are?”
28 Owo ave mu yamburura ave tja: “Ove omuini rira omuhongewa womundu ngo; eṱe oweṱe ovahongewa va Moses. 29 Matu tjiwa kutja Ndjambi wa hungira na Moses, nungwari omundu ngo eṱe katu mu i kutja wa za pi!”
30 Ingwi omundu arire tja ziri a tja: “Otjiṋa hi otjihimise! Eṋe kamu nokutjiwa kutja eye wa za pi, nungwari eye wa paturura omeho wandje! 31 Matu tjiwa kutja Ndjambi kapuratene kovanauvi; eye u puratena kovandu mba mbe mu yozika nu mbe tjita ombango ye. 32 Okuza kombutiro youye kape na pa zuvakere omundu ngwa paturura omeho womukwao ngwa kwatwa omupoṱu. 33 Omundu ngo andakuzu ka zire ku Ndjambi, katja sora okutjita otjiṋa.”
34 Owo va zirire ave tja: “Ove wa kwatwa mourunde porwe, nu movanga okutuhonga are?” Nowo arire tji ve mu ramba mosinagoge.
Oupoṱu wombepo
35 Jesus wa zuvire kutja omundu ngwi ngwa ri omupoṱu wa ramberwa pendje; nu tje mu muna arire tje mu pura a tja: “Ove mo kambura mOmuna wOmundu?”
36 Eye a ziri a tja: “Muhona, ndji raera kutja eye owaṋi, kokutja mbi kambure mu ye!”
37 Jesus wa tjere ku ye: “Ove we mu munu rukuru, nongu ri ye ngwi nai ngu ma hungire na ove.”
38 Nomundu wa zirire a tja: “Muhona, ami me kambura.” Neye arire tje rikotamene ku Jesus.
39 Jesus wa tjere: “Ami mba yendera ombanguriro kouye mbwi, kokutja ovapoṱu ve mune, nu imba mbe muna ve poṱupare.”
40 Ovafarisei tjiva mba ri mbo puna Jesus va zuvire omambo we nga nave mu pura ave tja: “Mo hee kutja oweṱe ovapoṱu wina are?”
41 Jesus a ziri a tja: “Andakuzu oweṋe ovapoṱu, katjamu kara nondjo; nungwari tjinga amamu tja mu muna, okutja otji mamu karerere ovanandjo.”
